Editing
The real job of an editor is to be a Renaissance artist, a master of many skills.

A Fusion of many Skills
Editing takes me into a different world. Every time I sit down at my computer to work on a project, I feel like a magician—carefully assembling each piece to bring the bigger picture to life.
In my point of view, Susan Vaill is absolutely right when she describes an editor as a modern-day Renaissance artist. An editor must master a wide range of skills, from sound design, music, and visual effects to color correction and graphic design—but most importantly, the ability to give and receive notes.
It is this combination of elements that truly brings an edit to life, and that’s what I love most about the craft.
